Huge Interior of Central Market Hall
I prefer shopping for little bits here and there while wandering around a city. But if you're pressed for time and need to find a place to buy souvenirs for your friends and family, you're bound to find everything you need and more at the Central Market Hall. Built at he end of the 1800s, the huge market hall has two floors.
What to buy: You can find mainly foodstuffs, wine, and spices on the ground floor; textiles and other various crafts upstairs. The least expensive wine cellar can be found at the far back left corner on the ground floor.
What to pay: Good prices, but shop around the various stalls.
Address: XI. Vamhaz Korut 1-3
Directions: On Pest side of Freedom (Szabadsag) Bridge. Tram 47 or 49.
Theme: Local Craft
