"When a man is tired of London, he is tired of life." -Samuel Johnson
I think it is kind of ironic that I love this city so much, mainly because I am quite the island girl. I think that really says something more about London than about me, though.
This city has become my second home. I have only visited it three times, and for a grand total of 15 days, but it truly has become a bustling, thriving oasis for me. I have seen it in the last days of summer, the first days of fall, and from a much more residential view during a freak spring snowstorm.
This city has never dissapointed me (even during the snowstorm when all our plans were cancelled each day, just hours before our scheduled departures). Each time I come, I learn something new about myself, let alone the wonderful British culture than I have since fallen in love with.
I love this place so much; Samuel Johnson knew what he was talking about. |
