this is in side the local bar with our friends from the beach, this night i think we was in there for a long time , and it was dark out side , so as we were walking to our hotel the streets were all lit with candels and little fires with people cooking on them, the smell is something you will renember, not a bad thing

this place was outside our hotel , the beach boys took us a few times, the people were freindley , a german woman owns it, the beer was cheap and cold,good place to go

Address: go out of the main gates of the hotel, turn right

Fort Jesus: Sound and Light Show - Meal

After the show we had our evening meal, there were tables ready for us and the men that greated us on arrival with the tourches were now stood around all the tables, they didnt say anything, the atmosphere was great, so different.

The food was excellent, picture 2 show John enjoying a baby lobster and this was our starter. We drank wine from goblets.

Fort Jesus: Sound and Light Show

When we arrived at Jesus Fort there was music playing and men with torches, it was something else, when in the fort we took our seats ready to enjoy the sound and light show which was excellent.

Mombasa: Dhow Horn

This little guy has to sound the horn when coming in to the harbour.

His horn is a big shell and the noise it made was amazing, so load.

It took about an hour to sail to our destination and the sun was just going down it was perfect.

Mombasa: Mombasa By Night

We originally book to do a evening boat cruise, but this was latter cancelled and so we choose to do the trip 'Mombasa by Night' which was excellent.

We started the trip by driving towards Mombasa were we boarded a Dhow, on here we enjoyed complimentary drinks and nibbles whilst enjoying some local music, these guys were ace.

Sun N Sand: Based in the Hotel

Most of the night life is based around the hotels, a few people we spoke with got taxis in to the near by village, but to tell you the truth were a bit unsure about going out late at night.

The hotel put entertainment on every evening, things like karaoke, affrican dancers and acrobates. The hotel have its own animation team which get people involved.

Dress Code: Dressed-up / Casual, how ever you feel but no shots or bikinis. 3/4 are acceptable.
