| Looking from breakfast to water |
This was the best kind of holiday-FREE!!!
We won it in a radio station competition but we added on an extra week. We stayed at the Fijian Resort on the Coral Coast then moved up to Nadi and to Club Fiji, a low key Aussie owned place, half backpacker, half hotel.
The Fijian was a nice place, on its own island but attached to the mainland by a causeway. It has a golf course, tennis courts etc etc all the five star things. Trouble is, nobody talks to you.
Club Fiji by comparison had nowhere near the facilities but the staff were great and it was a party atmosphere. Everybody talked and laughed with each other and it made the experience nicer. |
| | Club Fiji has these really nice little individual bures. Ours was right on the beach. They have larger ones for backpackers behind these ones.
There is a large bure that has the bar and restaurant in it. The pool is just outside that and while it is small it is well kept. The beach here is not great but it is close to the harbour and you can get trips to some of the small islands close to the main land. |
