Favorite Thing: At the end of November each year, thousands of finishing high school students decend on the Gold Coast to celebrate finishing school. During this time, some areas are closed to the public and it can be very inconveinient. While they tend to be fairly well behaved, there have been some problems with drunkeness in the past. In a group of 30 000 there are always a few. It is probably best to avoid the Surfers Paradise area altogether at this time. Stay in the southern suburbs like Broadbeach, Mermaid or Nobby's Beach.

The coffee shop and bar within the hotel are vacant ! Also, errors with check-in and booked services resulted with a rude response from the reception manager; no apology, all blame entirely to the booking agent. We won't be staying there again. | Travmad Mon Apr 30, 2007 12:42 UTC
