Hue has so much to explore. As the imperial capital of Vietnam it was the seat of power and has alot to offer the traveller.
Whetther it is exploring the tombs of the emperors, the Citadel, Thien Mu or just the city, you will be occupied for days. |
| | The tombs are amazing insofar as they were designed by the emperors before they died so they are as much a monument to themselves as a tomb.
This guy is one of Khai Dinh's stone manchurians. |
| | Tu Duc was the longest serving of the emperors so has the best tomb despite the fact he lived in it for about 15 or so years before he died. It was really the royal house.
It is a place of beauty and contemplation as Tu Duc was a bit of a romantic and a poet. With 400 wives, I guess you'd have to be. |
