A small Town it truly is.....

A wonderful place to escape and get away from it all. Quiet and peaceful, surrounded by lakes-great for swimming, boating and water sports, lots of mountains-almost as if sitting in a cup ,and 2 golf courses, and serene camping spots, great fun in the summer months.....winter months are bountiful too, many trails, so bring your cross-country skis, or snow shoes. Ice fishing and snow mobiling are choices too. Has a small town friendly feel, although growing everytime I visit. It has a couple of pubs to party, a new one called The Black Rooster, and a new nightclub, one of BC's third largest, Element is the name of this place, or a couple of cozy coffee shops, if that is your cup of tea. Lots of vacationers passing through here in the summer months, I notice plates from parts of the US, because the Washington--Idaho state border crossing is not far from here, and other Canadian provinces. Mostly a Russian community, so you can have your fill of Russian food, but it's better to personally know a little old Baba here that can cook a feast for you. A great place to visit!
