Short Break To Prague

by SueWarwick - last update: Feb 25, 2007

Looking over city

Ideal Time To Visit.

I landed in Prague on a Monday evening, leaving on a Friday evening in mid-February. I was lucky with the weather, not too cold and, more importantly, it was dry!
Spending the week there seemed to be the best option, it was reasonably quiet and it was only on Friday afternoon that most of the tourists (including the archetypal English stag parties) started to arrive.
The four full days were more than enough to see the sites of the city and take a trip out to Kunta Hora to see the 'bone church'
City by night
Prague is a city I would definitely recommend to visit, however three or four days is probably long enough to see the main attractions/sites.
It is not as cheap as I envisaged to stay in the city, but it is possible to eat and find accommodation on a budget especially if you stick to the local cuisine (lots of meat and dumplings!)

Fabulous start with brilliant photos. A pity I missed the Fred & Ginger building on my visit. :-)
