One of the first landmarks to see when arriving in the Ricev Laz are of Bohinj (the main tourist area) is the statue the first men who reached the top of Triglav in 1778. This has lead to the tradition of Slovenes hiking to the top of Triglav to confirm their national identity.

As you walk around the west side of the lake you pass the statue of Zlatorog

Its not difficult to find your own secluded section on the banks of the lake, a great way to cool down on a hot day!
