Favorite Thing: It can get very hot in Rome. When I last visited in early June the temperature during the day was usually over 35 degrees C. Luckily, however, most street corners and plazas have drinking fountains. Best thing to do is buy a cheap bottle of water for a few cents from one of the supermarkets then keep re-filling whenever you find a drinking fountain. They are also a great way to just cool off!! Designs range from quite plain to rather elaborate! If you don’t have a bottle to fill, just place your finger over the main outlet and water comes out of a smaller hole at the top of the fountain making it easier to drink from.
