Founded in 1851 by an expedition of explorers from Illinois, Seattle has many different and unique stories. From Asa Mercer, who was charged to bring single educated women to Seattle in 1864 (for the love starved bachelors) to William Boeing moving his float plane business to the western city, this city was founded on real day pioneers. Now Seattle is famous for grunge music and Starbucks, but there is one guarentee when you come to Seattle... you will learn alot! |
