New Braunfels?

Officially, Gruene is a part of the City of New Braunfels, but ask anyone who lives here, and it is its own part of history. Gruene is the home to the famous Gruene Dancehall, and this area was known for its cotton production, before it became famous for its tubing trips down the Guadalupe River.

I hope to bring you a couple tips about Gruene, as it is a beautiful spot to stop in for an afternoon.

People keep telling us that we should visit Gruene...I hope we do it sooner rather than later! I just read about Gruene Dance Hall in this month's Texas Monthly Magazine--it definitely is a legend! Hello to Sarah and Anna....

Yes, a delightful place Gruene seems with it history, famed dance hall, tubing down a lazy river, and hunting for antiques. Your restaurant tip is awesome.

I wish Gruene were closer to Dallas. I could do my Christmas shopping at that gourmet food store.
