The Hilton chain has now added a new location to their arsenal. I was able to stay there during a national sales convention last year. Hilton.com says: Located in downtown Austin, the only hotel adjacent to the Austin Convention Center. One block from Sixth Street entertainment and walking distance from the Warehouse Entertainment District. In the downtown business district and near all attractions and points of interest in the downtown area such as the Capitol Building, University of Texas Campus, Bob Bullock Texas Historical Museum and the LBJ Presidential Library.... This is a very accurate description.

If you have an early morning flight from the Austin airport, and you are used to staying in the lap of luxury, you will definitely enjoy the Austin Airport Hilton. This is a beautiful hotel that is about 5 years old, the same length of time the Austin Airport has been in its current location. As you may know, the airport used to be Bergstrom Air Base, which is why we call our airport, Austin Bergstrom Airport! Beautiful rotunda has a nice bar and breakfast nook inside, and makes for a nice stay.

5 years ago, as a college student seeking a job, my current company, set me up to stay in the Hyatt Regency here in Austin. This was officially the beginning of the end for me! As a guy who made it through college packing ten guys into a Motel 6 29 dollar a night hotel room, I found myself in a king size room with free soap and shampoo all to myself! Glory day, I have not turned back since. The Hyatt is a really nice hotel with an awesome view of downtown! Look down.. you will see Town Lake, where in the morning crew teams will be stroking along the water! Bring your credit card, and enjoy your stay!
Unique Qualities: They have great fajitas at the hotel restaurant on the second floor!

Great downtown location, one of the least expensive stays for a quality hotel within walking distance of 6th St and Town Lake. Also has free wireless internet for guests! Enjoy!

If you are looking to complete your high scale visit to Austin, I would highly recommend staying at the Four Seasons Austin. It is truly the epitomy of class in the Austin area. I would highly recommend eating the Eggs Benedict for breakfast, it is really great!

During the 1800's America was a booming country, and alot of proud Tennessee born entreprenuers made their way to Texas. Jesse Driskill is the founder of this hotel, and he made the money to create this hotel in the cattle industry. It has been continously operated by 1886, and is considered one of the Leading Hotels in the World. I would highly recommend going to the Driskill cafe for breakfast!
