In October of this year, I had a one day trip from Seattle to Boise that went awry. I was supposed to be there for the day, and leave back to Seattle to fly down to Shreveport to visit Sarah. Then Horizon Air basically shut down operations, and I spent hours in the Boise Airport! To top it off, I left my video camera in the rental car, and they broke it!! I did have time to take a look at the state capital though, which was very nice.

Trips that went wrong are more interesting to read about than trips that passed without a hitch. Bizarrely, I've always followed the Boise State college football team's results. I don't know if I could take that blue turf close up though.
good breakfast if you do not mind waiting 60 mins for a table, by the time you are seated its lunchtime
I found the service to be deathly slow the and the food to be poor. The ambiance was neat and it had potential but overall I wont go back

Aha, another Boise page on VT! Sorry your airport experience wasn't so great, but glad to hear you found Goldys. Great tip on the geothermal capitol, too.
Most of these little airports can be this way. Yet, it doesn't say a whole lot about their hospitality either. Their loss for sure!
I suppose there are worse ways to have to visit a place, but shame it you lost time to see Sarah. You seemed to utilise your time pretty well hefre Mark.
