Palo Alto is a wonderful little city just north of San Jose, and about 35 miles south of San Francisco, located very close to the western edge of the San Francisco Bay Area.
It has been a city for over a hundred years, and is named after the 250 year old redwood tree that Spanish settlers found on the creek of San Fransicquito.
It is the home to Stanford University, among many other high tech industry companies.

deecat Sat Jun 7, 2008 08:48 UTC Helpful tips, especially for business traveler. Top-notch transportation & warning tips. Surprised that a higher-class hotel would be next to Vet...glad you were able to sleep with barking dogs in the background! I'd love to see Stanford campus. | KimberlyAnn Sat May 31, 2008 15:39 UTC My neighbor here in Wyoming loves Peet's Coffee. Being a small town of about 9,000 people, we can't get it here, however. She has to order hers online. Nice page. | Ewingjr98 Wed Mar 12, 2008 00:59 UTC Interesting little page page on a local town I really need to visit. Thanks! | rwlittle Wed Jan 11, 2006 07:13 UTC So that's who this de Anza is! I see his name all over the place here! |
