Nile River Temple on Philae Island

by ATXtraveler - last update: Jan 17, 2005

Our First Temple

Philae Temple
On our trip to Egypt in 2004, we were able to visit many temples, however they always say your first temple is your most memorable. The sheer magnitude of this temple along with the minute detail in every etching really amazed me.

Then to top it all off, it was communicated to us that this particular temple was well over 5000 years old!

Splendid page on Philae. It had my favourite setting amongst the great temples of Egypt.
