Tahiti is a wonderful little island that supports French Polynesia's main airport, Faaa. To think that Tahiti is only the stepping stone to the other islands is completely underestimating this place however. Sarah and I decided to take a 4x4 Safari and see more of Tahiti, and we were not disappointed! Most people can not get over the urban sprawl of Papeete, FP's capital and most dirty city.... but to think of Tahiti as only a travel hub would be a shame. Hopefully the tips I have provided will help you agree! |

deecat Fri May 4, 2007 00:41 UTC What an enjoyable read about Tahiti. I agree about the graffiti and the trash. Pretty frightening about the unstable pilot. Beautiful scenery, especially the waterfall. | majicsilverrose Mon Jan 1, 2007 11:33 UTC Grafiti is not just a modern thing, the Vikings left some in scotland and there is some on one of the pryamids. | pepples46 Sat Feb 4, 2006 07:30 UTC they..the chickens might be suicidal, having enough of getting the chopp anyway :(( I need to get my act together&hopping the Islands, so close from NZ grear tips Mark, tks | Jim_Eliason Sun Dec 18, 2005 10:44 UTC Great tips! |
