Restaurant Name: Cargo Lounge
Let me first let you know, I am proud to be a Texas traveler, and it takes alot for a restaurant's food to appeal when they attempt to take the name "Texas" in an attempt to merely consider the food substance bigger than normal. Yes, everything is in fact bigger in Texas, but this does not mean that other world locations can exploit this fact.
Having said that, I was challenged by my mate, Jarrod, to try the "Texas Style" BBQ Ribs at the Cargo Lounge in Darling Harbour. I quickly rebutted, Jarrod, I am not sure I should waste money to prove that in fact the BBQ ribs are not rubbed like good Texas ribs, their sauce is not close to a good chipotle or anywhere near Bodacious. He said..."Mate, I am buying... give them a shot".
Well... all I have to say is, it was Love at first Bite. These were good, and very authentic Texas Beef Ribs. The portion size was correct, the BBQ sauce had a nice hint of chili peppers in it!
Top this off with a beautiful view of Darling Harbour, and you are in for a good meal!! Plenty of beers on tap as well, I especially liked the "Beez Neez".
