these go together in the mind of many people.There is more than just one grain of truth in this, not only during Oktoberfest time.

I was in Munich for the marathon, but I only ran the 10k as a preparation for the Frankfurt marathon.
During every run I've done so far, runners are offered refreshments along the course, water, tea, occasionally applejuice and sparkling water.

Munich offered all this, but here we were also offered beer! I thought when in Rome..., so I took a cup, but it's not the best drink while you're running. In the future I'll stick to water.

Before the day of the run, there was a fun run in traditional costumes with several brass bands playing music. Afterwards, of course, there was a Weißwurst Breakfast with - what else: beer.

Isn't this beautiful? The leaves changing colour and the Isar, very close to the busy centre of the city.
