Welcome to my beloved town....

Cobourg is the home to a beautiful, clean, waterfront including a harbour and a beach. Possibly you are familiar with the silent movie star, Marie Dressler, who had a homestead in Cobourg. Infact Cobourg is also home to famous hockey player Steve Smith. We have a beautiful downtown located on King st. which is where you will find Victoria hall. A beautiful historic building. Did you know Cobourg was once going to be named the capital of Upper Canada? It's true!

Places to go, people to see....

What's there to do in Cobourg you ask? Well for teenagers like myself, the answer is literally nothing. That is of course unless you include going to our not so entertaining mall, or driving around town( which takes less than 5 minutes) looking for something fun to do. It seems everytime we do this we dont find what were looking for. There are of course a few golf clubs located a short drive away, they include, Dalewood Golf and Curling Club, Ashbrook, The Mill, Port Hope, and Larchmere. During the summer it is always a good idea to hit the beach, there is even a campsite located right off of it. And If you feel like exhausting some energy you can go to the YMCA, one of the best around.

A seemingly great place to live....

Cobourg is an extremely safe place to live, though I did not grow up here, I did live only a half our away just off Rice Lake. Speaking of lakes, you can certainly enjoy Lake Ontario while in Cobourg. We are an increasingly expanding town. Recently we became the home to a new hospital (which I plan to work in post university). We also had the addition of Wal-mart and a number of new restaurants including Swiss Chalet, and East Side Marios. Subdivisions are also popping up all over. I think this is a sign. Cobourg is waiting fot all of you, it wants you to move in and join the fun!
