We spent nearly a day in Salisbury in July 2004, while we were staying in the Wiltshire area. Salisbury has Britain’s finest medieval cathedral, which has the tallest spire in Great Britain, being 123m tall, surrounded by cathedral close full of 14th century buildings and museums. The river Avon runs through the town, which is very beautiful with it’s river walks. Nearby you can also visit Stonehenge, which we also spent a couple of hours at. |
