Getting TO/AROUND: There are several ways to getting from the airport to the centre of Barcelona, but I found taking the Aerobus a convenient way. It is located just outside the exit of the airport and runs every 12 minutes, stopping in Plaza Espana and Plaza Catalunya in the centre. It costs 3,45 euros per person (at time of writing) and takes about 20-30 mins.

Getting TO/AROUND: Metro is the most convenient way of getting around Barcelona and is very easy to use, with colour coded lines. You have various money saver choices of tickets - I was there for 3 days and opted for a 10 use ticket which cost around 6 euros I believe. This is just one ticket that is stamped every time you go through to the metro platform. Then my friend and I shared a 10 use ticket - very useful if you do not need to use the full 10 on one person - just pass it back to the other person once you have gone through the barrier.

Getting TO/AROUND: A ride by cable car takes you up to Montjuic and costs around 5 euros for a return journey. You catch it once you have taken the Furnicular from metro stop para.lel. There are two stops to get off, the highest one being where the Castle is. The cable cars are open, not enclosed, so are a bit scary and sway a bit! Yes, I was scared, but braved it all the way up and then down again!
