Restaurant Name: Degres De Notre Dame

As you can tell from the title, this restaurant is quite close to the Notre Dame, in the Latin Quarter. It is not situated near all of the other restaurants in the 'louder' area, but in a quiet back street. The restaurant has a real rustic, traditional feel to it, and serves traditional French food, eg i had goats cheese and toasts, followed by duck, potatoes and vegetables, finished by creme brulee-absolutely gorgeous!
The building is also a hotel, so would be a great location to stay in as the Latin Quarter was probably my favourite part of Paris, all those lovely walks by the Seine and seeing Notre Dame lit up at night!

Restaurant Name: Les Deux Magots

This is one of the most famous cafes in Paris and was established in 1885. Famous artists and writers frequented the cafe including John Paul Sartre and Hemingway. Les Deux Magots is named after the two statues of Chinese origin which still dominate the room.

Restaurant Name: Cafe opposite Notre Dame

This cafe is located on the opposite side of the road to Notre Dame next to the Shakespeare company bookshop I believe. I think it was the middle cafe in a row of three. It is lovely here as you get a view of Notre Dame and has a chilled out atmosphere to it.

Favorite Dish: Mussels and chips! As you can see from the photo you get a LARGE portion of mussels with chips. There are many different sauces to choose from, including the ones we tried which were cream sauce with bacon pieces and curry sauce! This dish is a tradition in France and must be tried!
