I live in a village just inside Buckinghamshire, on the Buckinghamshire/Bedfordshire border.
Buckinghamshire is in South-East England and starts from the outskirts of London and reaches North towards the Midlands. It is over 50 miles in length, but actually less than 10 miles wide at it's narrowest point.
In Buckinghamshire you will fiind the Thames and the Chiltern Hills, the massive shopping complex of Milton Keynes, picturesque villages and market towns, such as Aylesbury, Amersham, Marlow and Buckingham.
Buckinghamshire has the highest number of National Trust properties open to the public. The Vale of Aylesbury was home to the influential Rothschild family, there are several of their houses open to the public including the French Renaissance style chateau, Waddesdon Manor, and Ascott House, a Jacobean residence.
