We have stayed at Bally's for years, and have yet to be disappointed. They have changed rooms for us because we weren't fond of the view, and have often upgraded us in the process. This was not done because we're great gamblers, or because they know us personally, no, they did it to keep the customer coming back. The rooms are spacious, border on the luxurious, and the restaurants and shops within the complex are good. Plus, you don't have to fight your way past all the machines to get to the front desk. Clear sailing from the door to the clerk. Ballys is blessed with The Big Kitchen, a buffet which is superior to others on the strip. It also has a coffee shop which offers fantastic Prime Rib, at a ridiculous low price, and It is difficult to beat the quality. You have to ask about this deal, because I don't remember if it is available all the time, or just late in the evening. They also have great chicken wings that my mother-in-law just loves. Too hot for me though.
Unique Qualities: The casino floor is large, lots of nickel machines, and a wonderful selection of slots to keep you happy, however the floor is so easy to navigate. If you are looking for a member in your party, you can overlook the floor from the elevated section which consists of desk clerks and shops, and the additional height gives you a greater advantage over other casino. Finding friends or family members is a snap. You also are centrally located on the Strip, and have direct access to The Paris Casino, with most major casinos just minutes away.

This hotel is for the silly people who would rather throw their money away on accomodation instead of investing it in the dollar slots. Kids are not welcome, and are turned away at the door unless parents are registered. However, this does ensure navigating the casino floor without tripping over toddlers. Great buffets, however, they are expensive as far as buffets are concerned, but lots of choice, and superior quality. The dancing fountains are a joy to behold, swaying too and fro in time with the music. Wonderful gardens, and a general feeling of wealth surrounds you. This hotel may not be comfortable for some..(includes mapakettle)
Unique Qualities: a mini Lake Como.

concentrates on table games, but has many slots as well. My mother-in-law always wins here.
Unique Qualities: great location, across from Caesars, and beside Ballys, connected by a elevated bridge crossing the busy street. This is the busiest corner in Las Vegas (I believe) Try Michael's, known for great steak.

Absolutely wonderful rooms, posh...bathrooms are huge and spectacular. Clerks are friendly, not snotty as expected because of the price. We were upgraded upon check-in, and the view was overlooking the dancing fountain at Bellagio next door. Lots of places to explore, good food, with smaller places tucked away.
Unique Qualities: Three pools, one used for European style sun bathing (topless).

Beautiful resort, but was becoming outdated, not keeping up with the times. Located at far end of busy portion of strip. Great place to gamble. Loose dollar slots.
Unique Qualities: golf was king.

Basic accomodation, rather like an upscale Super Eight. No bath tub, showers only. Guard checks for room keys prior to entering elevator. Lots of kids, lots for kids to do, and large non-smoking section on casino floor. Parking lot located 'miles away' (not quite, but close) General feeling of neglect. Would not stay there again, but for no particular reason other than great deals can be found elsewhere.
Unique Qualities: ummm, can't think of anything, except the exterior looks like medieval castle.

Unless you occupy a room in the 'new' tower section, you will believe you are in a basic Holiday Inn room. Food is mediocre, and the buffets are....not very good. Gambling is great, good machines, fairly loose slots, and I'm always a winner here.
Unique Qualities: The pool is fantastic, especially the surrounding grounds. Exotic wildlife walking free everywhere, and they are well looked after.

Three and a half out of five, but this hotel has a strong and loyal following. Upscale Holiday Inn type rooms, satisfying buffet, with a large selection of fruit. Great breakfast. Gambling....I've never won here, but hearing the shouts around me, obviously I'm doing it wrong. Everybody seems to be having a good time, all the time, and there appears to be little turnover in staff. I recognize many familiar faces each time I visit.
Unique Qualities: Good restaurants abound.

Love this casino, rooms are great, but cater to the businessman on an expense account, therefore I find prices a 'bit' too high in general terms. This is an all round resort, and a person would not need to leave the property if they had no desire to. Casino is well lit, more than most, but I find it rather smokey, but they have good slot machines. Good restaurants, a step above the average for regular meals, and great Italian and Chinese close by. (unable to remember the names, but cater to convention business, always busy)
Unique Qualities: Good all round facilities...golf etc. Unfortunately, the hotel is located a little off the beaten track, and a taxi is required to visit most other casinos.

The rooms are strange, not quite oriental, not quite.....whatever, but shop worn. However, most rooms are large, and not quite Holiday Inn. As I say, I can't explain it. I do not recommend this facility. Great location, best on the strip. Gambling done in dim lighting.
Unique Qualities: none to speak of......did I mention great location, across from Caesars, close to everything else.
