You don't need to gamble... We have been visiting Las Vegas since 1990, often twice a year. We love it. The city has so much life, it never sleeps, even though we often are in bed by 11 PM. You don't need to gamble to have a good time, because there is so much to see and do. If you enjoy people watching, Las Vegas is definitely the city for you. We took my mother-in-law in '93, not expecting a big reaction, but felt that she should experience Las Vegas at least once. Well, we released a monster. She thoroughly enjoyed her visit.. It became mandatory for an annual visit, and often twice a year when possible. As she explained to us, the city makes her come alive, and she can experience the activity from the sidelines, but feel she is still participating. Impossible to explain how the city feels, impossible to tell a person where to stay, what sights to see, because everyone has a different need for their holiday. |
Ballys...Our hotel of choice We have stayed at Ballys (our first choice, comfortable, like your favourite pair of slippers), Caesars (expensive in every way, but the pool is great, and you certainly would enjoy the experience), Flamingo (I'd rethink that choice), Excaliber (lots and lots of kids), MGM Grand (huge, bustling...try the Lions at the dollar slots...our personal bank), and The Venetian, a great place to sit outside in the evening, listen to the music, and watch volcanos erupt across the street,(however, slots are tight here). Great restaurants, good fast food as well. A tip, find a slot machine you like located close to the little 'bars' that provide live music, and just sit, and play, and enjoy... and WIN of course. Ballys is four star quality, great value, and unassuming. What we like best is you don't have to walk through the casino upon checking in. No dragging your bags, zigzagging around slot machines. Ballys is ALWAYS OUR FIRST CHOICE when booking in Las Vegas. |

Always join the SLOT CLUB... We suggest you join every slot club in every casino you visit. You immediately start accumulating points towards free goodies, meal comps, and discounts on rooms, and often you are offered free rooms throughout the year. Once you are a member, and you've played for awhile, go to the slot club desk, and ask if you qualify for a free meal. Be polite, and if they say no, give them an opportunity to explain what you need to do to qualify. Remember, YOU WON'T GET IF YOU DON'T ASK.... |
