Getting TO/AROUND: Easy as pie to get to Calalzo from Padova. The journey took us just over three hours, stopping at every little mud hole along the way. However, in saying that, I found the trip fascinating. Lots of photo ops, and really quite relaxing.

We travelled 2nd class, with a total price of euro 15.20 for two people.

If you are looking for an opportunity to see a bit of rural Italy, I might suggest you give Calalzo a try. Fun for kids in the summer as well.

Getting TO/AROUND: Dolomiti Bus Lines travels through Calalzo several times per day. From what I understand, the locals use it regularly to travel from one mountain town to another, and believe the frequency could be as often as once per hour. These are full sized highway buses, exceptionally clean and inexpensive.
