This B&B is located in the rural area of Sacro Cuore, about 15 minutes from the local bus stop. The owners are rather set in their ways, and follow the rules of condo dwelling to the 't. Since buildings in Italy are basically just sand and water, sound travels. You've heard the expression...'You can hear a pin drop', well it's true. No flushing after 11 PM, pick up your chair, don't drag it, keep the volume on your TV low, and remember to conveniently run out of wine before 10 PM when entertaining. And, most importantly, no cooking of cabbage without balcony doors wide open and fan blowing.

Unique Qualities: This B&B overlooks a corn field, countless family vineyards, and is blessed with automatic wake-up calls daily. Roosters crowing, but with no sense of time. I thought they were early risers ?

Marble floors, stairways, ceramic tile, and complete bath, except shower curtain of course. Even has a funny looking drinking fountain beside the toilet.

Completely air condioned, if windows and doors are left open, and the three fans blowing constantly.

All in all, a fine experience for a couple from northern Canada.

Ma Kettle and I haven't stayed here before, and the only reason I have included it was because it struck us as a wonderful place to spend a couple of nights. We located it just before Christmas, and went snooping. Beautiful lobby, and great little booklets with maps of Padova and Venice attached were provided when we asked for rates.

The location is perfect. Situated right in the heart of the city center, yet off on a cobblestoned side street, amidst the old buildings, away from the hustle and bustle of the market. Very neat, clean, elegant. We'd never walked this little street before, and found restaurants, bakeries, chocolate shops, so much we had never known existed. The hotel also has a restaurant attached.

Unique Qualities: As mentioned, the location is ideal. Less than two minutes walk, and you are right in the heart of Padova's centre. Dozens and dozens of restaurants immediately available to you, the bus stop less than five minutes away, and all the sights of Padova awaiting your pleasure.

A double room, with breakfast included, starting at 153 euro.

The hotel has 34 rooms, furnished in various styles, lots of mahoganies and brass, and of course the usual you'd come to expect in this price range. garage parking is also available, but of course comes at an additional price.
