Travel to Kakhi (Qax) Azerbaijan - Saingilo Qax or how we Georgians call it Kakhi is a territory of Azerbaijan that is partly populated by Georgians... This fact (among some others which I do not want to touch) is one of the reasons why there are several Georgian churches in that region.
This fact was one of the reasons why in 2002 I decided to embark on my trip for Azerbaijan... And the trip was really a great experiene as we had a chanse to see both the Georgian and non-Georgian historical monuments... |

| On the foothills of Shamil Castle |
| | The guest house where we stayed is on the foothills of a beutiful village Ilisu. It is worth going there... The village reminded me European villages with red roofs... The view there is great.. And must see place is Shamil's Tower, the picture that is just in the very begining of my homepage. |
