Fort Lauderdale airport is easy to navigate. The town itself makes for a good 'launch pad' for travellers heading to or from the several cruise lines that depart from the local harbor. While in the area it is easy to explore the beaches on foot. With a car the unusual Everglades ecosystem is a 1/2 hour drive west of the city. With a few hours to spare, visitors to the area should make an effort to take one of the Everglades boat tours. |
