  • You can not go to rome without seeing it. It was the second thing that I saw after the Forums. I was smart and I booked my tickets in advance so I just skipped all lines and got straigt in. Do not go there without booking in advance. The line was looong.

The place is very old and was in much worse state then I thought. Never the less I did enjoy it and it was a good feeling to walk around there.

Funny thing is the glass elavotor! Didnt expect that there!

  • Dont go to Rome without visiting this place. It was amazing to see it. 2000 year old church completly intact. It was like it was built yesterday. Its almost surreal to walk into it. There are lots of tourists and hard to see anything but you just have to try.

    Free entrance!

  • It was the first thing that I saw in Rome. It was so big that I could only see a little bit but worth the time spent in there. Its so amazing that some of those buildings are still standing. You have to see this!

Free entrance but you can book guided tours!

  • I took the tube to the Spanish steps. I had seen them on TV but it wasnt that special. The church, like everything else in Italy, was being repaired. I just walked around and then away to find The Pantheon.

You must see it though if you go to Rome!

Directions: Take the subway, the blue line I think, to The Spanish Steps. There is an exit right next to the steps!

  • You just have to visit the Vatican. It is so beautiful and huge. You should spend more time there then I did and see it all. There is so much to see just remember to take your time. Dont forget to go the the gift shop and buy something.

  • I walked for couple of hours to find it. I was actually on my way home when I stumbled accross it. It was even more beautiful then I thought it would be. I sat there for some time and just looked at it. I then went to find a internet caffe.

This is a must see! :)

I agree completely... the only thing worthwhile about the Spanish Steps were the shops around them. And many of those were chains...

Absolutely wonderful Rome page, Stefan! All those stunning photos made me recall my own visit in 2001. Thanks for sharing them. Cheryl :)
