Queen Kapiolani Hotel: Clean and Adequate

In booking this hotel I got a great rate for a Deluxe Ocean view room which turned out to be a corner penthouse room. Awesome views! Old hotel but clean and located on the Kapiolani Park side with easy access to H1 and out of Waikiki without having to drive through. Couldn't beat the price.

A bathtub is a rarity in Waikiki hotels but ours had one! The bathroom also had louvered windows to let fresh air in.

I don't recommend the restaurant on site but there are plenty of others within walking distance. The pool offered a great view of Diamond Head.

Unique Qualities: Great view of Diamond Head and Waikiki. Corner penthouse room with wrap around lanai. Windows opened to the trade winds so we never had to turn the AC on.
