Morning on Sunset Beach

We try to come back to Hawaii every couple of years. It draws me there, and this feeling is so hard to explain unless you have found a place that calls to your heart as well. I avoid touristy sights, don't take tours and enjoy the tranquility of the north shore beachs.

Oahu is synonymous with having a good time. Since there are so many people on this island (over a million) there is so much to do as well.

Pearl Harbor

Old Glory

When I lived here in the 80's, I went to Pearl Harbor often. Not usually to site see, but chasing the 1000's of young military men! Times have changed! When I visited Pearl Harbor in 2002 it had a whole new meaning - those young men sacrificed their lives and I appreciate it now that I am an adult.

Pros and Cons

Pros:Many things to do and see.
Cons:Traffic

I came to this "Tourist Trap" page to write the exact same thing! Skip Paradise Cove! Or if you've already got reservations, show up late and skip the cheesy games! It'll just make you use up your drink coupons too fast!! ;)
