They say you can't see Rome in a day, but in all reality... yes, you can. Don't get me wrong -- Rome is beautiful, and there are some great things to check out here, but you really can do it in a day, and you won't be missing too much. (This is, of course, calling Vatican City a seperate place, because you can easily lose yourself there for a day, too) A lot of Rome is really touristy -- the gladiators outside the colosseum are a prime example, and a lot of what you think you should see, you really should just bypass and head up north or to a lesser-known city. |
