Da Lat is a very beautiful city in the mountains. It is a nice escape from the heat of Saigon and other lowland cities. The weather is cool and temperate year-round, making Da Lat a great place for flowers and fruits to grow.
Although Da Lat has a kind of tourist feel to it, I still really enjoyed my time here. There is this small-town charm to the city, and it is very laid back.
So, if you enjoy eating fresh fruit while drinking some coffee, overlooking a beautiful lake in the mountains, wrapped up in a jacket and scarf - Da Lat is the place to be.
To avoid the tourist scene, don't get stuck in one of the package tours that takes you to all the sights in town. Instead, rent a motorbike (if you're not afraid of a little dirt). It's super cheap, and you can go off and explore the hills yourself. |
