The Glee Club is an ultra-modern venue offering the best in live comedy. The evening's entertainment includes a compère and three stand-up acts, and the weekend shows are followed by a disco. The Club also promises one-off shows from the top names in British comedy. Dress code is relaxed, and restrictions on large same-sex groups ensures a good atmosphere. The comfortable setting includes tables from which to watch the show, a bar, and food available all night

Clwb Ifor Bach: A mix of Music

  • Nightlife Spot: Clwb Ifor Bach

The Welsh Club is a very established and well respected club. It has an amazingly eclectic array of nights playing everything from motown to punk. It also plays host to a lot of accomplished live acts.

Clwb has three floors all usually playing different styles. Floors 1 & 2 are quite small but there is still plenty of space to sit down and relax or get up and boogie. Floor 3 is quite large and can easily fit 300 people or so and also plays host to a lot of live bands.

Tuesday is Rebel Rebel and Rock Inferno, clwb's very own rock night. The music is quite hard but the atmosphere is very friendly and there are quite a lot of people who like to make an effort. If you can call fishnets, eye make up and black nails making an effort, and that's just the boys! If you like punk, glam rock and metal this is the night to let loose and descend upon town in full goth/cyber punk glory.

Wednesday is Cheesy Club downstairs and Popscene on the top floor. Cheesy Club has a Motown & Funk flavour and has to be said, is one of the best nights in Cardiff. The music is stunning and the atmosphere is always warm and friendly, with everyone out to drink, dance and have a good time.

This newly refurbished modern looking pub is open, spacious and colourful, from warm colours in one corner to cool blues and cream by the pool table, in a large tribute to Cardiff City FC painted on the wall.

Very much a City fans pub, and not so far from the Millennium stadium either, it attracts a lot of youngsters in the evenings and for TV sport, with more mature regulars by day.

This lively pub has occasional Karaoke and live music nights.Single Bed and Breakfast from £25.00

This is a lively community pub, and a regular haunt for Cardiff City fans, with a good focus on TV Sport.

It has a traditional look and feel, with a quiet non-smoking lounge at the far end of the pub, with a sunny bar at the front end. Featured in the Camra good beer guide, and with a good range of fair priced food.

This is friendly, welcoming pub, with a mix of local regulars and passers by. It is also a proactive pub, with their own football team, the Grange Celts, and a trophy cabinet evidence of successes. Nine card Don is played here.

It is a traditional looking pub with a nice sized lawn garden at the rear. There is a free public car park at the back, accessible by havelock Place.

Great tips and photos! Wales in general, and Cardiff in particular, look wonderful. Only thing missing on your page is info about Tom Jones. She's a lady ... wo, wo, wo ... she's a lady! Gotta love Tommy! Best from NJ, Bill
