"The Town built around water" Lakes Entrance by percy961

Lakes Entrance Travel Guide: 16 reviews and 62 photos

Lakes Entrance is situated at the tip of the Gippsland Lakes National Park which is a unique coastal formation comprising the largest land-locked lake system in Australia, protected from the Bass Strait by the seemingly delicate strip of Ninety Mile Beach

We stayed here for a couple of nights while on the road to Melbourne. We enjoyed our stay at this coastal town

This description is not for the winery boat, but for Lonsdale Cruises & taken from their web page! Wyanga Winery cruises is a complete waste of money. Lonsdale Cruises on the other hand is fantastic, the best way there is to spend 3 hrs in Lakes Entrance!

That photo is not the Lonsdale but the Corque. I've been on both and the Lonsdale is far and away the better cruise to go on. Don't waste your time on any other cruise in Lakes, The Lonsdale is definately the best!
