The geology of the region is VERY unusual Arid to say the least yet they do get snow often. I was getting rather worried that my driver had not arrived from Bishkek to take me back to the city. He was due at 10 am . At 11 am I asked the desk clerk at Aurora if she could help me call Bishkek to be sure he was in fact on his way. He had left, in fact, over five hours before, now the dispatcher was worried also. She was able to contact him on his cell phone and discovered he had been delayed over two hours by a heavy snow storm in this area. By the time we arrived back here at about 2 pm the snow was gone but we did see the "remains" of two accidents he said he saw on his way to Aurora. |
