Restaurant Name: Lou Malnati's
No trip to Chicago is complete without stuffing yourself with a deep dish pizza. It is a pizzeria, but doesn't look or feel like a pizzeria, if that makes sense. Comfortable restaurant feel. Clean and good service, although deep dish takes 45 minutes- an hour to bake!
Favorite Dish: Regular deep dish filled with pepperoni and mushrooms!!!!

Gino's East: Not the Best Deep Dish

Restaurant Name: Gino's East
An historic Chicago institution, Gino's may not be the best deep dish pizza in the city! The graffiti covered walls and dimmed lights make it a unique pizza experience, but it was about 250 degrees when we ate here...which made it quite ovenlike and unpleasant. One of my favorite sayings about pizza is - "Pizza is like sex, when it's good...it's REALLY good. When it's bad.....it's still pretty good."
