  • Not worth going out of your way for, but if you are in Hampstead Heath, at least a walk by for a photo. The poet only lived here for two years before moving to Italy where he died. The house is quite empty, but does include some of Keats' possessions. He wrote "Ode to a Nightingale" in the Garden.

    3.00 GBP for adults

Off The Beaten Path: Library and Museum of Freemasonry
  • Tip Rating:
  • Normally, I do not list things that I did not do. I am making an exception because I didn't even know this place existed until it was too late. I learned of it from a pamphlet I got at John Keats' House. "The Library and Museum of Freemasonry houses one of the finest collections of Masonic material in the world". Items belonging to famous and royal Freemasons are on display together with examples from the museum's collection of prints, engravings, and photographs.

But like don't they have an alternative to the Wahoo, like a big letter C or something? Even the Orioles have an alternative to their stupid bird hats. Wahoo would look worse pink, that's true.

London is an experience - great report - nice pictures and you are right - you have to visit London several times.

My younger son must have been about 10 when we first took him to London. His favorite article of clothing for years afterwards, until it was way too small for him, was his "Rainy Days in London" T-shirt.
