We Will Always Have Paris

by CoAir13 - last update: Dec 17, 2004

Her Beauty is Overwhelming

Sacre Coeur
Paris cast its spell on us! We are already planning on going back next year......and we are going to take French classes in preparation. My 4 years of High School French was enough to get us by without offending anyone.....I am not close to being fluent.
Ethan loved this city for its architecture, history, and the fact that there is always somewhere to sit down and rest when you are walking around.

Even for a Child

I am glad that Ethan is mature enough to appreciate places like Paris. Missing school to visit, he is able to report back on the history and significance of the city (otherwise he would not get credit for the work he missed in school). The grandeur left him awestruck and has talked about it ever since!

Next time, more than three days!

We only had three and a half days to explore, which meant that we weren't able to discover the nooks and crannies. We did, however, have enough time to see the usual Paris haunts. We compromised a lot........I wanted to go to the Louvre, but he would have lasted only an hour, so we saw the Musee D'Orsay instead. The line for the elevator to the top of Tour Eiffel was three hours long, so we waited for ten minutes and climbed the stairs to the first level. It was too short a trip to queue for hours on end!

Hi Jen. I am back from France. Paris was great and Provence was beautiful.

Hi, Was just wondering how long the walk is from Eiffel Tower to Notre Dame down the Seine? Thanks.

Congratulations on making all the right choices about what to do and not to do during your brief visit to Paris. Hope you can get back there again before long.

Just do ignore them...like everywhere, not a specifically parisian thinh :-) I do the same thing in New York too!
