A thick web of water channels wrap the town up; Most of them are navigable by boat and give a very typical feature of the city center.
Bike is a very common way of transportation here, thanks to the typical morphology of terrain (really flat!), the wide two wheels road system and of course the local culture to move without taking the car at all costrs (like in Rome...).
Amsterdam is well known to be the land of freedom, easy sex and coffee shops... In general this is true, but it's only one of the features of this town and just a small part of the center is dedicated to this need.
