You know, I'm roman but I have to admit that Florence is unique!
I frequently come here for my job and for holidays too, and everytime is always the same feeling: beautiful!

There are here a lot of signs of the past artists, wich represent an wonderful and unique patrimony. Cimabue and Giotto, the fathers of Italian painting, lived here; Brunelleschi, Donatello and Masaccio, founders of the Renaissance; the universal geniuses Leonardo da Vinci and Michelangelo. Their works, along with those of many generations of artists up to the masters of the present century, are gathered in the city's many museums.

Tradition wants that italian language, thanks to Dante Alighieri (Divine Comedy), was born here in Florence. That gives to Florence the label of the "cradle" of italian culture, where important people such as Boccaccio, Machiavelli, Guicciardini applied their studies.
Florence is also the country of Amerigo Vespucci (the explorer who gave the name to America) and Galileo Galilei, who pushed the modern science
