Hello from Mexico to all of you VT members! Thanks for some of you who had posted some comments on my page, which is currently very simple, but I hope it can be very rich in information and pictures as others I have seen. I hope you like it, because I want to share with you my own experiences, what I learned from each one and how I perceived things.
May I be granted the possibility to travel to Tunisia next March. If so, I will surely give here all the details of such a wonderful trip.
Wherever you travel, all of you take much care and enjoy! |
Trying to obtain carmine from cochineal In 2000 I went to Oaxaca, to a little village close to Oaxaca the Juarez, the capital of that mexican state, to attend a workshop on growing cochineal, an insect from which carmine colorant can be extracted. During my trip, I couldn't miss Monte Albán, a great ancient zapoteca city. | | | Monte Albán inbetween the clouds |

| | Attending at my sister's wedding The smallest of my two sisters got married in Madrid in November 2002, so of course we attended at her wedding. We certainly went to visit Toledo, a beautiful city, all in sand colors, all perfect buildings, like if one was inside a story. |
A latin biotechnology workshop I went to Cuba in 1999 to attend a biotechnology workshop at the University of Matanzas, a city about 2 hours from Havana. I went to Matanzas, Varadero and of course to Havana. It was an unforgettable trip. | | | At the entrance of Camilo Cienfuegos University |
