My thoughts on Paris...... | Paris via the clock at Musee d' Orsay |
Paris is all that guide books read about and more. While I'm not in love with Paris as many are, I have a respect for the city and culture that has been made famous. My personal tastes are to get into small towns and villages, and away from the dirt, noise and confusion of urbania. However, if you are a lover of art, history and architecture as I am, you will not be disappointed in all that Paris has to offer in these categories.
Another insight - I do not find Parisians to be rude, much to the popular sayings of tourists. I find them to be indifferent. If they can help you, they do - if they cannot, oh well. I don't find Parisians to be particularly outgoing, but I also don't find them to be intentionally rude or ill-behaved. I've visited this city twice, and found this to be the case on both occasions. |
