"With Child" sha55's Profile

We've done quite a bit of travelling over the years with our son now aged 13.
Don't listen to all of those people who tell you yhat travel is wasted because"he won't remember" or "it's dangerous".
Adham has now the open mind that travel has given him. He also knows that he has more opportunities than so many other kids in other parts of the world.
Our experience is that most people love kids and travelling with a child is an ice-breaker.We also told Adham to trust his instincts regarding people...I think that children are naturally instinctive we (adults) and the 'system' teaches them to no longer trust that instinct.

No Longer a Child!

Our son is now 19 and striking off on his own this week! Japan, Oz and SE Asia(parts of)...on his own! Scared but excited for him. All those yesrs of travelling with us have given him the bug.
We are off on new adventures on our own, later this month.
Definately a new chapter.

Definitely no longer a child!

My son is now 21 and a half years and in his second year at university. His gap year went really well and he is desperately tying to save money for more travel. Unfortunately with the recession,he has not been able to find work during the summer,so no travel.
We however have travelled!
The Caribbean,Cambodia,Vietnam,South Africa, several European mini breaks ,including one to Amsterdam in a couple of weeks time.
