Bab Al Shams - Dubai

Bab Al Shams

Bab Al Shams Bab Al Shams Review

Bab Al Shams Desert Resort & Spa is a group of Jumeirah International. It is located close by the Endurance Village, only 50 km drive away from Burj Al Arab, or 45 minute drive from Dubai International Airport.

Going to Bab Al Shams, seems like to have suddenly come to life in the middle of the dessert. The surrounding area is dessert without showing any sign there is a beautiful architectural place built to cater people who would love to escape from bustling city. Yes, I know, from the price is above average. But the quality of the place itself, service and after feeling when you leave the place is worth the money. And they usually give very good bargain in summer time.

Directions: It's on the way to Arabian Ranches and Dubai Autodrome. 20 - 30 minutes from Dubai.

The Other Side of Dubai - Dubai

The Other Side of Dubai

The Other Side of Dubai

Dubai is not always offer the glossy view. Some areas give another view of Dubai where most of the activities involved hard works and challenge unfriendly weather in the summer time. It’s just about to struggle and to survive. In many corners there are small stall selling fruit juices, Shawarma or Chai where there are always people chill out after tiring day.

Dubai By Night - Dubai

Dubai By Night

Dubai By Night

Put on your sneaker and just explore. I guess, as I do, you will enjoy the lights on. Some are dim, some are subtle, and some are bright. Some places go off and some places are just starting. It’s definitely there will be something that you can capture by your camera.

Baniyas - Dubai

Baniyas

Baniyas

It’s a nice place to have an overview of Old Dubai. I like the atmosphere of Baniyas in the afternoon, before sunset. You can cross with Abra to the creek (The Abra station is opposite of Spice Souk), you can walk along the old port where people busy to load/unload stuffs from the dhows. You can also visit Dhow Wharf to see the busy dhow workers doing their job. (I always admire how tough are they to manage doing those hard works in a heat of summer)

I like to visit Spice Souk or going to a higher floor in one of the buildings along Baniyas, or just roaming around to observe people activities. There is a strong atmosphere of old Dubai here.

Note: Although you will be tempted to take a picture of many interesting objects you found, (unless you have good zoom for your camera) if its involved people, it would be polite to ask permission. And be cautious for some buildings where photographs are not allowed.

Bastakiah Nights - Dubai

Bastakiah Nights

Bastakiah Nights Bastakia Quarter Review

Yes, I know, I should include this tip under Restaurant, but Bastakiah Nights offers more than food.
It's great to visit Bastakiyah Nights at evening time, since the light will create strong exotic Arabic atmoshphere. Bastakiyah Nights is a restored heritage building and the creative owner opens the restaurant with the breathaking atmosphere for people to enjoy the taste of interior design combined with the great food.

Belly Dancer, why they are beautiful? - Dubai

Belly Dancer, why they are beautiful?

Belly Dance

Belly Dancing is a-must-to-see for Dubai visitors. Some restaurants or if go with organized tours, belly dancing is also in the menu. The interesting part of Belly Dance I observed, is the contagious ability that stop people from staying motionless watching. The dynamic of the music and the move will make (at least one of) your body part moving. So, don’t be shy to join the dancer.

Girls, either you are visitor in Dubai or planning to stay here, try to learn how to jiggle and move your belly are worth! Grabs info from magazine or newspaper to check where the place to learn Belly Dance. Tight pants, tank top and armed your self with the scarf (or there is belly dancing scarf costs between 10 to 60 Dirhams from Karama, it’s nice! It gives you voice when you move). The Belly Dancing class costs 30 to 35 Dirhams.

Directions: Just look at magazine or newspaper to check out.
