"Edmundston" Edmundston by fairy_dust

Edmundston Travel Guide: 6 reviews and 12 photos

I've been to Edmundston twice in my life. Once with my World Youth Day group en route to Toronto for WYD, and then again on the way back from Toronto. We spent a few hours there with WYD groups from the Maritimes.

I didn't get to see much of the town except for a local parish and the school where we had our meals, but from what I could see, it's a small place that's not too noisy. Also, there is a large Acadian population, so English and French are common.

The Edmundston population is actually 'Brayon' not Acadian, those are on the coast of New Brunswick. To be considered acadian, your ancestors would have had to be included in the deportation somehow (either deportated, or at risk of...).
