During my first trip to Spain, 3 weeks in Salamanca for a study program, 4 of us went to Barcelona for a weekend. We went to Montserrat during that time. We had originally planned to spend a few hours in Montserrat, but we loved it so much that we spend the whole day there! We didn't get back to Barcelona until the evening.

Montserrat has a lot of mountains and great views, and also paths, religious carvings and statues. It's absolutely beautiful. I'd love to return someday.
