Bournemouth is located in the South of England and one of the bigger towns. It was founded in the late 1800's and has always been a resort town. It was also the host for royalty such as some of the British kings as well as the late Queen Wilhelmina of the Netherlands. We decided to travel to Bournemouth via Stonehenge and arrived in the late afternoon. The hwy coming in takes you right by the beach ,the pier and merry-go-around are quite visible. We were very excited to go to the beach after our long drive. We knew that the pier was home to a cafe as well as a cinema but unfortunately no warm food was available for us so we had to go elsewhere. In the early evening we finally had a chance to explore the beach and just loved it.. |
